What is the Ann Arbor CRU?

The Ann Arbor CRU, first known as the Parke-Davis Community Research Clinic, has been conducting Phase 1 Investigational Drug Research Studies since it's opening in May of 1977. We are located at the Pfizer Global Research and Development site in Ann Arbor, where scientists, clinicians, technicians, and other professionals work together to deliver a steady stream of new medicines to people around the world. After several major renovations and expansions, we are now a 36 bed unit. We are equipped with sample processing laboratories, physical exam rooms, volunteer bedrooms, kitchen and dining areas, a courtyard, a pharmacy, two TV lounges, volunteer computer rooms and a game room. Please view our Photo Gallery.

Over the years, we have had over 10,000 volunteers who have agreed to participate in our research program. These volunteers are comprised of local and surrounding area residents, university students, and Pfizer company employees.
